Currency

Poland's official currency is the złoty (zł. or PLN), divided into 100 groszy. Banknotes come in 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 PLN denominations. Coins come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 groszy and 1, 2, and 5 złotys. Approximate exchange rates of the PLN are: 3.0 PLN for 1 USD, and 4.0 PLN for 1 EUR. The safest places to exchange currencies are banks and currency exchange offices ("Kantor wymiany walut").

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is the third largest airport in Poland.
